The sustainability of cork yarn

Cork is an ecological and sustainable raw material, of vegetal origin, biodegradable, light and highly insulating. After its disposal, it is quickly absorbed by the environment.

The fashion designer, Monica Gonçalves is the holder of the international patent for cork yarn. The engineers and lawyers at Inventa International, our guest speakers a the Workshop Intellectual Property Strategy for Fashion Entrepreneurs, have assisted her with the request. The protection of intellectual property with national and international patent applications is imperative to protect inventions in fashion-tech.
