Art, crafts, sustainable fashion made in Portugal, sustainable raw material, organic fabrics, meeting with sustainable makers, local cuisine and cultural activities await you at the FIA!
What is the FIA?
The International Handicraft Fair is considered to be the largest multicultural handicraft fair in the Iberian Peninsula and the second largest in Europe.
This is a must-see event for those who value crafts and are working with sustainable fashion in Portugal. That's why we invite all students of The Slow Fashion Innovation Program to participate.
What will you find there?
There you will find much more than crafts. You will be able to talk directly with the artisans and know their stories and their products. You can establish partnerships. You will find sustainable raw material to apply in your own sustainable fashion creations.
FIA presents a variety of handwork, valuing the handmade made in Portugal. You will be able to chat with embroiderers, shoemakers, Portuguese and international silversmiths.
In the pavilions where the FIA takes place in Portugal, you will also find gastronomy, natural resources, cultural and tourist activities.
When and where does it occur?
The 2019 edition takes place between June 29 and July 7. The International Handicraft Fair takes place in the pavilions of the FIL - Exhibition and Congress Center of Lisbon, located at Rua do Bojador, Ed. FIL, 1998-010 Lisboa.
Why should you join?
Slow Innovation Brands considers this a unique opportunity for students of our Sustainable Fashion Innovation Program to learn more about local and international crafts and that's why we want to take you with us to the FIA.
